Roberto Vargas joined Meridia Capital in 2019. His responsibilities include performing financial analysis, preparing underwriting materials and assisting in the due diligence process for acquisitions and dispositions.
Prior to joining Meridia Capital, Mr. Vargas worked for GTIS Partners as an Acquisitions Analyst in New York. There, he assisted the Acquisitions Team in analyzing investments across Brazil and Latin America, preparing the underwriting and financial analyses, and coordinating acquisition and disposition processes of industrial, office, retail and hospitality assets. Selected transactional experience includes the disposition of a c. R$2.3bn portfolio of assets from vintage funds and the acquisition of c. R$1.5bn in office and industrial assets across São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Prior to GTIS Partners, he worked for Bravia Capital in Hong Kong SAR, China as an intern for the Private Equity Team.
Mr. Vargas holds a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School and a B.A. in International Studies from the School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania (Huntsman Dual-Degree Program). He is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
