    In December 2019, Meridia Private Equity I acquired a significant majority stake in Zummo, a global incumbent in the design, manufacture and commercialization of automatic fresh fruit juice extraction machines.

    In June 2018, Meridia Private Equity I acquired a minority stake in Volotea, the Spanish-based airline which offers routes between more than 80 mid-small sized cities throughout Europe at very competitive prices.

  • Grupo Andilana

    In January 2017 we acquired a significant minority stake in Grupo Andilana, a leading premium casual dining restaurant chain and hotel operator in Spain.

Exited Portfolio

  • Futbol Emotion

    In May 2018 we acquired a significant minority stake in Futbol Emotion, a leading Spanish omnichannel (mostly online) specialist retailer of football equipment. Meridia Private Equity I plans to support and accelerate the Company’s growth.

    In April 2022 Meridia Private Equity I announced the sale of its stake, representing the fund's fourth exit.

    Majority shareholder of Vetsum, the leading veterinary care provider in Spain. We first acquired a minority position in July 2020 and  increased our stake to a majority in May 2021. The group has an existing portfolio of 15 hospitals, including some of the most prestigious and prominent in the country. 

    In April 2022 Meridia Private Equity I announced the sale of its stake, representing the fund's third exit and vehicle’s most successful transaction to date.

  • Sosa Ingredients

    In September 2016 we closed the acquisition of a majority stake in Sosa Ingredients, a leading producer and distributor of technical food ingredients for the gastronomy segment. In November 2016, Savencia Gourmet, a French leading gastronomy group, entered the share capital of Sosa Ingredients. This entry was set to boost Sosa’s strategic and industrial plan mainly via the strengthening of its commercial reach in key markets as well as through the enhancement of its production capacity. Alongside the company´s management team, Meridia and Savencia aim to accelerate the firm’s growth, both locally and globally.

    In April 2021 Meridia Private Equity I announced the sale of its stake, representing the fund's second exit.

  • Kipenzi

    In April 2019 Meridia Private Equity I invested a minority position in Kipenzi’s share capital. Kipenzi is the leading, integrated pet care specialist in Spain and Portugal. It has a growing network of over 125 specialised pet stores, 75 veterinary clinics and 8 veterinary hospitals.

    In December 2019 Meridia Private Equity I announced the sale of its stake, representing the fund's first exit since launch in 2016.
