
Attorney with graduate studies in International Law and BA. Practiced M&A law for 11 years in New York and Barcelona before opening a boutique M&A firm in 1999. In October 2001, Javier and a consortium led by Deutsche Bank acquired Hovisa (Spanish real estate company), owner among other assets of Hotel Arts in Barcelona. Javier became principal and CEO of Hovisa. In February 2004, Javier was appointed partner and MD for Iberia of Patron Capital Partners, a private equity real estate group based in London. In July 2006, Javier led the sale of Hotel Arts for €417 million. In June 2006, Javier launched MERIDIA CAPITAL HOSPITALITY, a €150 million private equity real estate fund dedicated exclusively to branded hospitality.
