Ms. Badenes joined Meridia Capital in June 2006. Prior to joining Meridia, she was an Executive Director in the Hotels & Leisure team in the Equity Research Department of UBS Investment Bank in London. Ms. Badenes was ranked second best analyst in the sector in Europe in 2002 and fifth in 2003 by the Thomson Extel Pan-European Survey. In 2004, she was selected as one of the top-ten UK’s best stock-pickers amongst 1,100 financial analysts. Prior to that, she worked in London as a Vice President in the Equity Research Department of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, covering the Hotels & Leisure sector. Ms. Badenes began her career in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of J.P. Morgan and Salomon Brothers in London. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Universidad de Barcelona and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School.
